On the occasion of commemorating the “Entrepreneur day of Vietnam”, on the 10^th October 2009 in Hanoi, Vietnam Chamber of Commercial and Industry (VCCI) coordinated with Vietnam Television and Vietnamese Brand Star Development Company formally celebrated ceremony for 100 entrepreneurs who have been awarded “Vietnamese Outstanding Entrepreneur of 2009”. In this solemn ceremony, Mr Le Chi Hieu – Chairman and General Director of ThuDuc Housing Development Corporation together with other 99 entrepreneurs had the honor to receive “ Thanh Giong Cup” with title “Entrepreneurs – Soldiers in peacetime”.

Participants of the ceremony including Officials of Party and State: Mr Nguyen Minh Triet – President of Social Republic of Vietnam, Mr Vu Huy Hoang – Minister of Commerce, Mr Vo Duc Huy – Secretary of Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Economic Agencies, Dr Vu Tien Loc – Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commercial and Industry and Head of Board of Examiner for Typical Vietnamese Entrepreneurs, Mr Vu Dinh Tung – Deputy Minister of Justice, Mr Nguyen Tran Nam – Deputy Minister of Construction, Mr Vu Trong Kim – Member of Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of Fatherland Front Central Committee and former Deputy Head of the Central Public Relations Committee, Mr Hoang Van Dung – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commercial and Industry, Mrs Tran Thi Thuy – Chairwoman of Vietnam Businesswomen Council, Mr Pham Gia Tuc – Vice Chairman and General Secretary of Vietnam Chamber of Commercial and Industry, Mrs Lee Ju Song – International Chamber of Commerce Asia Director…together with the participation of 100 typical entrepreneurs and representatives of other corporations.

This was the fifth year that Vietnam commemorating the Day of Entrepreneurs, those “Thanh Giong Cup” were only awarded to the most outstanding Entrepreneurs of the year 2009. As informed, HCM People’s Committee had proposed VCCI the list of 19 entrepreneurs that had outstanding achievement of the city. Nevertheless, after all the Board of Examiners only chose 10 out of 19 to be included in the top 100 “ Vietnamese Outstanding Entrepreneur of 2009”. These entrepreneurs have leaded their companies step by step to overcome the difficulties and achieved great performances. The most difficult time of Vietnam economy recently is the obvious evidence for the enthusiasm, skillful and intelligence of these Vietnamese entrepreneurs, they are worthy of such an honour to be named “soldiers in peacetime”.
